Roxy Pro Music Festival on Friday July 12th at the Port Vieux beach Biarritz

Alongside the ASP Women’s World Tour the Roxy Pro will be putting on a whole series of public events, including a free concert organized in association with Sosh, on Friday July 12th at the Port Vieux beach.

True to its reputation as a showcase for up-and-coming talents, the Roxy Pro will feature female bands and emerging local artists, alongside well-known acts!

The Roxy Pro is the essential place to be on the Atlantic coast this summer, and some 50,000 fans are expected to come along for a refreshing dip into an ocean of surf culture. 

The programme includes: young local talents and pop heavyweights featuring a heady mix of folk and rock, with 10,000 people in full-on party mode right there on the sands.

A magical venue:

The Roxy Pro stage will be setting up at the Port Vieux in Biarritz, just a stone’s throw from the competition site on the Basque Coast.

Over the last eight years, this imposing open-air arena has already hosted a string of big names from the worlds of pop and rock, including Circus (Neneh Cherry), Plastiscines, Miky Green, Lilly Wood & the Prick, The Do, Singtank or The Sounds, as well as breakthrough acts with glittering futures, like DJ Chloé, La Femme, The Dedicated Nothing who more or less made their on-stage debuts in Biarritz…

An exceptional field of artists:

This year, more than ever, the Roxy Pro and the home music label Drop In will be putting the spotlight on female artists and up-and-coming talents from south-west France, as they aim to carve a reputation as a breeding ground for promising new acts.

And so Queen of Diamonds, Betty The Shark, Lili Fint and The Mellow will be guest performing at the Roxy Pro 2013 concert on Friday, July 12th.

After the evening kicks off in style with a talent show vibe featuring these up and coming acts, the Biarritz crowd will get to experience the stunning vocal range of Mesparrow, performing her first live set in the region, before the dancefloor starts rocking to the disco beats of Citizens!
